To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the death of the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa, it is possible to visit, free of charge, the space and garden he created in Querini Stampalia for the entire day (10 am-6 pm) and participate in the guided tour (11 am). For the occasion, the exhibition DoorScape | Beyond the Threshold has also been extended.
No reservation is required. The recommended entrance is from Campiello Querini.
Carlo Scarpa’s work at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, along with its garden, has always been open spaces to captivating contaminations, now also gastronomic. ‘The Labyrinth of Carlo Scarpa‘ is the dish offered by the Terrazza Danieli Restaurant at the Hotel Danieli, Venice: in three recipe moments, it brings to the table the geometries, materials, and colors of the Scarpa space.
From November 28 to December 3, 2023 those who book with the wording ‘Circuito scarpiano’ will have the opportunity to taste it at a special price (-20%). Reservation is required: T. 041.782786; email restaurant.danieli@hoteldanieli.com
The proposals are part of the ‘Carlo Scarpa in Venice‘ program in collaboration with FAI-Negozio Olivetti, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and Iuav University of Venice. The aim is to promote and enhance the figure and works of Carlo Scarpa in the city.
